Professional Hunter's Profiles: Ade Langley
![]() A third generation Zimbabwean, Ade was raised on a farm in the Eastern Highlands. On leaving school, he spent half of his military service attched to the Parks and Wildlife Department and was based in the Zambezi Valley. He then completed an agricultural diploma course and farmed tobacco for ten years. It was during this period that he began his hunting and guiding career, making full use of the winter slack periods on the farm. Best described as a full outdoorsman, Ade is an avid falconer and is one of a handful of accomplished bird dog trainers in Zimbabwe. He is, naturally, a keen wingshooter and fisherman as well, favouring fly fishing techniques for all species. He has been permanently engaged in the safari industry since 1994 as a professional hunter and guide, and enjoys to hunt all species with equal vigour, from duiker to elephant. |
