Omay South Camp
Ume Safari Area
Ume Camp is the southern half of the Omay CAMPFIRE area and is situated in the mid-Zambezi Valley. The area is bordered
in the east by the Famous Matusadona National Park and in the north, Lake Kariba. The area has a
size of about 750.000 ha and is mainly a hilly and mountainous terrain, interspersed with flat
grasslands. Many streams and river beds run from the escarpment. The Vegetation comprises
Mopane forest and Jessie Bush. In Omay we have 2 luxury Safari Camps consisting of thatched Aframe
chalets and 2 fly camps. Two of the camps are situated on the banks of Lake Kariba with
beautiful views over the Lake. The area is famous for Buffalo, big Lion, Crocodile, Hippo ,
Elephant and successful Leopard Safaris.

Giraffe, Hyena, Small cats, Kudu , Klipspringer etc.
