ANTI-POACHING

HHK Safaris is deeply committed to conservation and actively implements and funds anti-poaching initiatives across our safari concessions.
Illegal hunting remains a serious challenge in Zimbabwe, and a portion of the revenue generated from trophy hunting is directed towards combating this threat. Our dedicated anti-poaching units are made up of qualified rangers, fully equipped with the necessary gear and vehicles to conduct effective patrols and protect wildlife on the ground.

HOW HUNTING GIVES BACK TO ZIMBABWE

AID FOR COMMUNITIES

A portion of the revenue from trophy hunting is allocated to the councils of areas within Rural District Councils (RDCs).
These funds contribute directly to the development of rural communities, supporting infrastructure, education, and other local initiatives. In addition, meat harvested from hunting is distributed among the wards within each area, playing a vital role in enhancing food security for local residents.

AID FOR CONSERVATION

Revenue from hunting is reinvested into the conservation of safari areas within Rural District Councils (RDCs) and National Parks.
These funds support efforts to keep the areas safe and clean, while ensuring the long-term preservation of both fauna and flora.
Hunting in Zimbabwe is conducted on a sustainable-use basis, with quotas carefully issued for each concession. For protected species such as elephant, leopard, and crocodile, quotas are granted annually by CITES, ensuring international oversight and compliance with conservation standards.
