DEKA

A Premier Hunting Destination:

The former Deka Tail and Deka Pool quotas have now been merged to create one expansive and continuous hunting block, officially named the Deka Safari Area, with a unified combined quota. Boasting an impressive 75 km unfenced boundary with Hwange National Park, Deka offers a true free-range, wild hunting experience of the highest caliber.

This area yielded exceptional specimens of buffalo, elephant, leopard, and a rich variety of plains game. Once again, Deka solidifies its reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s premier hunting destinations.

DEKA SAFARI AREA

Situated in northwestern Zimbabwe, the Deka Safari Area borders the renowned Hwange National Park and forms part of Zimbabwe’s largest wilderness complex, which includes Hwange, Matetsi, Ngamo, and Victoria Falls. This region also lies within the Kwango Transfrontier Biosphere/Hub, a critical conservation corridor spanning multiple countries.

Covering approximately 50,000 hectares, Deka features predominantly hilly terrain with diverse vegetation, including expansive Mopane woodlands, mature Teak forests, and areas of Jesse bush. It lies within an intensive protection zonededicated to safeguarding a vital population of black rhinos, reflecting its key role in regional conservation efforts.

The area also boasts Deka Pool, a luxury tented safari camp perched above the Lukosi River. This prime location offers guests a spectacular setting where wildlife frequently wanders through the camp, creating unforgettable safari experiences amidst nature.
