Lake Kariba and the Charara floodplain are fantastic to hunt with most of our hippo being harvested on land. Crocodile are all record book quality.

CHARARA SAFARI AREA

Located in the Northern part of Zimbabwe, on the eastern shore of Lake Kariba, the Charara Safari area covers 1,700 square kilometers of Mopane woodlands.

CLIMATE

The best time to visit Charara in Zimbabwe is from February through August and December. In this period you have a hot temperature and little precipitation. The highest average temperature in Charara is 36°C in October and the lowest is 26°C in June.

CHARARA FLY CAMP

Camp sleeps 6 clients in 3 comfortable tents with ensuite bathrooms. Cold & hot running water and flushing toilets are installed throughout the camp. A communal dining/sitting area is established within the fly camp.

TRAVEL DETAILS

Charara can be accessed through Kariba Airport for air transfer which is a forty five minute flight from Harare or by road transfer which is approximately a five and a half hour drive.
